Included standard on the mail server is support for TLS/SSL security connections, allowing for secure transmission of email to other TLS/SSL enabled mail servers on the Internet. Only TCP/IP is required to use VisNetic MailServer on a LAN for local email solution. To use VisNetic MailServer on a LAN and the Internet, access to the Internet and a properly configured MX record for the domain at the DNS server are required.
