Maxdbt Space Tuner
Space Tuner能够创建虚拟数据库映射图、数据库报告并执行数据库空间组织操作，提高了Oracle管理人员对数据库空间分配的监控和管理能力。
Space Tuner通过以下3个主要模块提供了一个准确完整的数据库空间组织策略：
表空间映射图（TableSpace Map）——利用映射索引来显示数据库对象的虚拟图形。该表空间图形包括以下3部分：
1． 可视图形：显示数据库对象的物理结构，包括所在盘区和可用空间。
2． 图中所显示对象的细节信息，如段名、类型、用户名、大小、表空间等。
3． 综合信息：如全体对象概要。
功能：
1． 加载图形：首先滤除不相称数据，Tablespace Map利用滤波技术仅将用户需要的数据显示在图中，如特定表空间、特定用户、小于特定容量的段/盘区、特定用户的段/盘区、包含特定盘区的段、特定类型的盘区等；然后对图中对象分类，利用第一或第二分类方法，分类结果显示在细节信息部分，同时显示在可视化图形中。
2． 发送选中的对象进行重组：一旦数据库图形被加载，选定的对象就可以发送给重构器（Rebuilder）。
重构器（Rebuilder）——利用Tablespace Map或实况报告工具所生成的数据，修改和实施重构过程。显示重构数据的细节信息：对象信息、空间信息、统计信息以及数据的逻辑和物理结构。重构过程为：
1． 手动重构数据；
2． 手动生成重构脚本；
3． 运行重构脚本。
功能：
1． 重构和重组：重构表格和索引，压缩盘区；重组表空间或段。在表空间之间移动表格和索引，改变段存储空间参数，如初始盘区、下一个盘区、最小盘区等。
2． 生成脚本：重构方法；重构选项后分析；其他选项，如索引创建。
3． 交互运行脚本或保存脚本。
动态报告（Dynamic Reports）——将数据库数据灵活的显示于一个可视化报告内，并基于报告创建映射图形，还能向Rebuilder发送报告。根据专门类别和其他的用户定义报告种类，动态报告（Dynamic Reports）含有大量的内置报告。
功能：
1． 创建用户定义报告；
2． 预览和打印报告；
3． 向Rebuilder发送报告；
4． 基于报告创建映射图。

Maxdbt Space Tuner
Intelligent tool used by Oracle DBA’s for Database Reorganization, Management of Database Physical Structure, and Capacity Planning.
Space Tuner enables Oracle DBA’s to increase their ability to monitor and manage database allocation spaces by creating visual database maps, creating database reports, and performing space organization operations.
Space Tuner provides the accurate and complete space organization resolution by three major modules:
TableSpace Map
Overview
Tablespace Map uses to display a visual map of the database objects through a map index.
Tablespace Map is built in from three major sections:
· Visible map, which displays the physical structure of the database objects, including extents and free space.
· Detailed information on each object displayed in the map, such as: segment name, type, user name, size, tablespace etc..
· General information, such as: over-all objects summary.

Filtering inappropriate data
The Tablespace Map using filtering provides a way to display on a map only specific data required by the user, for example: specific table spaces, specific users, segments/extents which are smaller than a specific size, segments/extents owned by specific users, segments which have a certain number of extents, certain types of extents etc..
Mode
The Tablespace Map can run in either physical mode, logical mode or tablespace mode.
Sort map objects
Tablespace Map enables sorting objects detailed information: Type, User name, Segment Name, Size, Tablespace etc.. by primary and secondary sorting.
The results of the sorting are displayed in detailed information section and also in the visual map.
· Send selected objects to Rebuilder
Once a database map was loaded selected objects can be sent to the Rebuilder
Rebuilder
Overview
The rebuild process is being modified and operated by the Rebuilder using the rebuild data generated by the Tablespace Map or the Live Reports tools. The Rebuilder displays detailed information on the rebuild data: object information, storage information and Statistics information and the logical and physical structure of the data.
The Rebuild procedure supported by the Rebuilder:
1. Rebuilding the rebuild data manually
2. Generating rebuild script manually
3. Running the rebuild script

Alter segments’ storage parameters, such as: initial extent, next extent, min extents etc..

Dynamic Reports
Overview
The Dynamic Reports provides a flexible way to display the database data in a visual report, create map based on a report and send report to the Rebuilder.
Dynamic Reports includes variety of built in reports according to specific categories and additional User Defined Reports category, which refer to reports created by the user and based on SQL sentences.

"Space Tuner" is available as a 32-bit application. The product is available for Windows 95 or later, Windows NT, Windows 2000 and Windows XP. "Space Tuner" requires a minimum of 64MB RAM. 10MB minimum disk space required for installation. Supports Oracle Versions 7.3.4 -9.x. SQL Net versions 2 - 9.x
