·Public Folders
MDaemon Pro now supports public IMAP folders, which are extra folders available to IMAP users in addition to their private IMAP folders.

benefit:
The Administrator can now create new public folders and assign an ’Access List’ to each folder, allowing mail directories to be shared while permitting each user access to the mail server under their individual logon credentials.

·Custom Mail Queue Support
The Administrator can now define custom local and remote mail queues using a new editor within the GUI. MDaemon will monitor these locations from which to send mail.

·Inactive Account and Old Mail Purging
MDaemon Pro will purge inactive accounts and delete mail older than an Administrator- specified number of days.

The automatic account purging option within the Account Editor allows the Administrator to maintain clean and efficient mail accounts.

·Update Checker
MDaemon will automatically determine if there is a new version available by checking an update server over the Internet. If an update is available, MDaemon will send an Email to the postmaster detailing where further information can be obtained. The administrator has the ability to disable this feature, as well as choose the length of time between checking for updates

·LDAP Database Capabilities
New controls in the LDAP dialog give MDaemon the ability to use an LDAP server as the account datastore rather than a USERLIST.DAT disk file.

This LDAP Database capability allows multiple MDaemon servers to access the same user data and facilitate load balancing.

·Automatic Gateway Creation Based on MX Records
This advanced feature gives MDaemon the ability to relay mail based on MX records.

Your mail server can be a backup server for another domain by simply configuring the DNS system to user your IP as an alternate MX host.

·Integration with Outlook/WAB Address Book
Enable support for mirroring account information with your Windows address book using the Address Book tab within the LDAP options.
benefit:
Easily integrate MDaemon with your Outlook Email address book or publish MDaemon’s account information to a specific WAB file for more efficient server configuration.

·Reverse Lookup Verification
Additional controls have been added to the Relay Control dialog related to performing reverse lookups on the domain passed in the HELO/EHLO and/or MAIL commands.

Reverse Lookup Verification increases MDaemon’s security and content filtering capabilities.

·Improved Content Filter
Numerous internal enhancements have been made to the content filtering engine.

MDaemon’s effectiveness and usability have been increased due to enrichments in its content filtering engine.

·Enhanced Account Restrictions
Within the Account Editor, the Administrator can now restrict an account from sending and/or receiving non-local mail, as well as select a simple action that will occur if a message arrives which violates these restrictions.

Enhanced Account Restrictions allow the Administrator increased control over mail sent and received by users.

·Enhanced Gateway Editor
The Gateway Editor now contains the option to select whether the Gateway domain’s mail queue should be processed at each scheduled queue run.

MDaemon will now try to deliver mail via SMTP that is sitting in mail directories waiting to be collected by a host using ATRN/ETRN, increasing mail receiving efficiency.
