Encryption
Vircom has partnered with PGP to provide complete message encryption through the fully-integrated PGP Universal Gateway Email. Our solutions now ensure secure communication channels for anyone who must send sensitive subject matter or comply with government regulations.
Auto-Trusted Lists (i.e. auto-whitelisting)
This convenient feature minimizes user management of trusted lists by automatically determining a relationship with the message sender: all replies to users’ messages will be delivered to their Inbox without delay.
Bounce Address Tag Validation (BATV)
Misdirected bounces and backscatter spam can drain server resources and cause infinite spam loops. Vircom’s sophisticated BATV implementation puts an end to this problem by giving Administrators full control over determining legitimate versus illegitimate bounces and how they are handled.
WebMail Password Security
For modusMail clients only, 4.7 introduces password strength validation. Administrators can configure new password rules and optionally schedule their implementation, giving users advanced warning of the impending changes and the required format.
A new-look Quarantine Report with added functions
Redesigned with flexibility and ease of use in mind, the updated Report offers new features including the ability to block individual senders and release phishing messages (where permitted). The design is compatible with all commonly used mail clients and browsers.
Phishing release capability
Administrators can now give users greater control over their Quarantine by allowing them to release their own phishing messages.
Foreign language support for sieve scripting
Our sieve scripting engine has become more powerful in the fight against foreign-language spam with its ability to recognize and handle messages containing UTF-8 characters.
Windows 2008 support (32-bit only)
modus now fully supports installation on Windows Server 2008.
